Hey all! Granted that this is my newsletter and I know in theory that means I can write whatever I want. But I’m still having moments of wondering if there’s some things people would even be interested in. So if you would be so kind, could you let me know your feelings about the following things which could be a topic(s) for future newsletters, but with no guarantee they will? Also apologies that I can’t simply make this a poll but AFAIK a discussion thread like this is the only option Substack offers. (ETA: I made a twitter poll if anyone prefers that).
Anyway, if you could let me know your thoughts on whehter you’re open to me rambling on about any and all of the following that would be most appreciated:
Media Analysis, for example things like my thoughts on the latest WandaVision episode
Product recommendations on things which have made my life easier given my health conditions (non-sponsored, to be clear)
Other (please specify)
Feel free to answer here or ping me on twitter or in email or whatever. Thank you so much! (Also thanks for indulging me in this exception to the one email a week promise.)
I would love media analysis -- it's how I got to know you back in ye olde LJ days, and I think you're really good at it. Product recommendations would be lower-priority for me, though I can see it being interesting/helpful.
Thank you! And yeah I can't imagine it'd be a ton of product recs. Mostly my thought process there was I was using something that I've found super helpful given my disability and it occurred to me that maybe other people in similar situations would appreciate knowing. (My crockpot, for the record.) Figured as long as I was asking about the media analysis I'd throw that possible topic in as well to see if people would be interested.
But if I was forced to turn this into a product rec blog I doubt I could come up with even ten items without struggling. ("Uhh... toothbrushes are nice? I dunno." :D )
